Sharp determined “100th anniversary logo mark”

Upon reaching 100th anniversary of the establishment on September 15, 2012, Sharp
determined “100th anniversary logo mark”.

Founded in 1912, Sharp will get just into “100th Anniversary Year of establishment” in the coming
year.

Taking advantage of the event, Sharp will challenge further the evolution under
the motto of “Sincerity and Originality”,
Such three concepts as Partiality clinging to ‘Only One’, Accumulation from the past and
Expectation for the future are included in the meaning of the new logo mark design
By piling up two rings equivalent to the part of "0" of a number. it expresses the spiral that means
from the past to the future.

With the logo mark, Sharp will develop globally throughout the coming year for an ad in the mass
media, while applying in website, catalogs, business cards, and in-house publications
In addition, the company renews a homepage of the company on January 1, 2012 and they start
up "the 100th Anniversary Memory site (http://www.sharp.co.jp/100th/)".

In the memory site, "Only one history" to introduce "Tokuji Hayakawa story" is placed.
to introduce the life of the founder.

The holding of the 100th anniversary memory event is examined in the next year.

I introduced "good design prize" and SEIKO PROSPEX SBDX011 was nominated by them last time and I found the article about it in one of Japanese newspaper by chance.

There are car design, laundry design and even university campus among them.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Japanese restaurant "Jonathan"

One of my favorite Manga is  "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure". 

When I was junior high school student, this manga became to popular and since then  "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" is still extremely hot now here in Japan.

Back then  I didn't expected this manga would catch on very well abroad.

By the way, In the  Chapter1 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, the main character's name is "Jonathan Joestar". ( Above picture is Josef Joestar.)

His  name comes from the Japanese diner "Jonathan"I wrote last time in my blog .

I  go there by myself. 

The reason is the author "Hirohiko Araki" often arranged meetings at Japanese restaurant "Jonathan".  I am impressed how imaginative he is.

This is interesting isn't it?

His old enemy "DIO" is quite attractive too!!  

RICOH took over...

Oct 1st. 2011 RICOH announced they took over the PENTAX that is HOYA’s digital camera department and it became wholly -owned subsidiary, establishing “PENTAX RICOH imaging.”

The new company would devote to manufacturing and selling digital camera and lens for optical instruments.

RICOH’s strength has been only compact digital camera but will reinforce camera business ,obtaining mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera technology by taking over.

The shop name? One of them is called "Toki-ya".

In Japanese Toki means "Time".

Ya  generally means "shop".　I think really simple isn't it?

Japanese electronics blog starts!!

Hello! My name is Yohei Kojima and living in Tokyo Japan.
My shop is located in Tokyo as well and we sell Japanese audio accessories, cameras, watches.

With this blog, I would write my daily life, funny things, sales information etc.. ( Maybe irregularly.)
