I told the seller to packed it really carefully when shipping since it is really expensive as well as valuable. Needles to say it is vintage McIntosh preamp.
The seller emailed me saying like, " YES we have a lot of confidence and experience of delivery. It is very natural that we should pack our items very carefully"
So I was really looking forward to having it until I opened the package....
As a result, the McIntosh C33 was broken badly when it arrived in the long run.
The front panel is damaged and broken.
I guess it happened during transporting.
I have claimed them and their answer is
"We take pride in our work and value our customers so we always strive to pack items well to protect them during transit. "
What a joke !?
This is really unexpected answer for me.
They sloppily packed this fragile merchandise. The merchandise
(with glass) was loosely packaged and did not even have a "fragile" sticker.
This is really absurd attitude for their customers because the item is broken in fact like above picture!! Only problem was they were just lazy.
What is bad is they didn't include any insurance.
Therefore, whenever I sell and ship any items to my customers who are very important, I packed very firmly and carefully since I don't want my customers to feel same way as me.
Ever since I start to sell my products with my online shop, I have NEVER received any complaints from my customers EVER!!
Of course I have shipped even accuphase preamp, stax amp which is as big as this McIntosh C33.
On the Contrary, they have appreciated the work I go through. They have received the items without any problems.
Here is the way we have packed for shipping.
I believe that in terms of packing, Japanese way of thinking is completely opposite of western country.
As far as we concerned, We packed our item very firmly so that our customer will be definitely satisfied with our service.
Please take a look at our website.
